SEE in the New Year in style with party food and bubbly offers, all at bargain prices.
All the stores have great offers on celebratory snacks, with Morrisons seeing sales of its party food quadruple after the Emmerdale cast voted the store’s canapes the best in a taste test on Phillip Schofield’s show How to Spend It Well at Christmas.

The actors said three different Morrisons offerings stole the show including Morrisons The Best Bacon Belly Bites With Tipsy Cherry Sauce.
Simon Whittle, Morrisons Party Food Expert said “We’re really pleased our party food was such a hit with the Emmerdale cast.”
Whether you like your party nibbles to be sweet or spicy, British classics or exotic bites, there’s a snack for everyone with this selection.
Chicken mango skewers
(Serves 12)
YOU NEED:
- 4 chicken breasts;
- 200ml coconut milk, from a can;
- 1 lime, grated zest and juice only;
- 4 tbsp sweet chilli sauce;
- ½ tbsp demerara sugar;
- ½ tbsp fish sauce;
- 1 mango, stoned and cubed;
- 1 red pepper, deseeded and cut into chunks;
- 150ml pineapple juice; 1 tbsp crunchy peanut butter;
- 1½ tbsp fresh coriander;
- Cocktail sticks or bamboo skewers
METHOD: Soak the cocktail sticks/skewers in water for 30 minutes. Cut the chicken breasts into very thin strips, place in a bowl with 2 tbsp of the coconut milk, lime zest and juice, 2 tbsp sweet chilli sauce, sugar and fish sauce. Toss, cover and leave in the fridge for two hours.
Once marinated, thread chicken strips, mango and red pepper alternately on to sticks or skewers. Put on baking sheet. Grill for five minutes per side until cooked.
Mix the rest of the coconut milk with the pineapple juice, peanut butter and 2 tbsp of chilli sauce in a pan. Stir to combine. Warm through. Add the coriander, spoon into a bowl. Serve with chicken.
