THIS is the harrowing moment the secret lover of family murderer Chris Watts’ breaks down to cops as they discuss his evil crimes.
Nichol Kessinger screams “those little girls…they’re so little” as she is grilled by officers over the shocking slayings.
The audio is from a two-hour interview three days after the murders, after Watts, 33, pleaded guilty to avoid a possible death sentence.
The 30-year-old sobs and says: “He’s so disgusting. I’m so ashamed of him and everything.”
She tearfully adds: “I’m gonna wake up every day and know that like this mum and her unborn child and these two little girls are not around anymore and it breaks my heart.
“It is in me, and then I have to think about, like, the consequences of his actions and how they affect everybody else.”
Nichol searched book deals and wedding dresses online in the days leading up to the killings.
The documents stated that on the night before the murders, Ms Kessinger also spent 45 minutes Googling “how to prepare for anal sex,” and “the anal sex guide”.
This was soon after she began looking at videos of threesomes on a pornographic website.
Meanwhile, a search of Watts’ phone found hidden pictures of her nude.
In the new audio she tells cops: “You know, they’re gonna say, ‘Oh, you know, you’re the woman that had an affair with this man who took out his whole family’.”
She says she was tricked into believing Watts was a loving father, finalising a divorce and she had no idea his wife was 15-weeks pregnant.
“He lied about everything,” Ms Kessinger, 30, told The Denver Post.
