BOYZONE star Keith Duffy has sparked fears for his health because of his hard partying.

The singer and ex-Corrie star, 44, collapsed and was taken to hospital before a gig in Thailand on Thursday.

But close sources said he has been drinking heavily and enjoying the trappings of fame in recent months — prompting pals to tell him to take it easy.

One said: “Keith’s partying stepped up a gear when he was touring with Brian McFadden as BoyzLife and he’s really burning the candle at both ends.

“They ended up cancelling gigs and people complained about them appearing drunk and turning up late on stage. People have told him repeatedly to cut back on his drinking but he hasn’t taken the advice.”

Keith had tweeted “#sorehead” and admitted partying hard before he fell ill in Bangkok.

His bandmates had to perform without him and left Keith behind as they travelled to ­Australia to continue their tour.

Bandmate Ronan Keating, 42, told Magic FM: “We assumed it was food poisoning but there may be something else going on.

It’s never quiet with Boyzone.” Last night a Boyzone spokeswoman said Keith was being treated for a virus.

But the foursome “remain positive” that he will be at their Adelaide ­concert on Tuesday.
