A HUGELY obese man has lost 17stone after ­giving up his eight bacon butties a day and hitting the dance floor.


Ex-builder Ralph Lawless, 47, fell from 29stone to 12stone and  a size 6XL to a 32-inch waist.

He is now a full-time fitness instructor and has been dubbed “Ralph Travolta” by pals thanks to his nifty dance moves.


Ralph, from Turnford, Herts, said: “I was addicted to bacon sandwiches. I was a complete recluse. Once I started eating, I couldn’t stop.


“Kebabs, pizzas, bacon, frozen food, I would eat it all most days.


“Every day I was eating the same as most people would in a week.

“I’d not had a girlfriend for 15 years and after joining a guidance counsellor course, I decided to take control of my life.”


Ralph – who now has a 32-inch waist – first started his diet plan last October and lost ten stone in just a few months.

He added: “I needed to retrain my brain to understand what healthy food was.


After following Cambridge Weight Plan’s “one 2 one” diet since October 2017, Ralph was recently crowned its Man of the Year for 2018.
