SIR ALEX FERGUSON would take out his frustration out after Liverpool defeat on Manchester United training ground staff, according to Brian McClair.
United head to Anfield on Sunday a whopping 16 points behind Jurgn Klopp’s side with defeat almost certainly killing off any hopes of a top-four finish.
And fiery Fergie hated losing against the team he vowed to knock off their perch and McClair lifted the lid on how angry the Old Trafford legend would be in the days after losing to their bitter rivals.
McClair who spent over a decade at United winning four Premier League titles witnessed the full hairdryer treatment usually reserved for the players, but this time, Fergie let rip on the staff at Carrington.
McClair told redarmybet.com: “When we lost at Anfield one season around 2000, Ferguson had been gracious enough to let me do my coaching badges.
“I walked through the training ground and it was a bit of a ghost town all the staff who worked there were getting the hairdryer from the manager.

“If I’d have walked down to where he was, I’d have got it even though I wasn’t employed at the time! “When I went back there if we lost I stayed out of his way!
“With Sir Alex, there was always going to be something that he’d pick up on, the chips were cold, or the cups had been left out.
“You couldn’t argue with it.
“He’d say ‘standards are important and we can’t let them slip’.
“’We at United we do things differently’, it was about standards.
“There were little things that could make that difference and he was adamant about that especially after a loss to Liverpool!”
