A SUSPECT arrested for stealing a truck has sparked debate over his actual age after he claimed to be just nineteen years old.
Murad Kurbanov’s mugshot, which was released by cops in Utah, USA, appears to show someone much older.
Local news station KUTV captured the moment he was taken into custody and then obtained the startling claim in the court documents which were later drawn up.
But what started as a simple arrest has now gone viral.
The station said Murad Kurbanov initially made news for allegedly taking a U-Haul truck and running several red lights while evading police.
But he has sparked a whole new debate after the police released his mugshot and court reports apparently confirming his age along with a date of birth listed as March 1999.
The channel said now the apparent teenager is making news across the country because of that mugshot.
Almost all of the comments on our KUTV Facebook page’s post about the crime were about Kurbanov’s appearance.
Many of the 670 plus comments and 575 shares so far mention Kurbanov’s age and appearance.
The station said many were surprised that the balding Kurbanov was, in fact, a 19-year-old, according to a probable cause statement by police.

And Brody Vaughn Burman adds: “Dude pays his own child support.”
Meanwhile Arden Parker said: “He’s listed as 19 but his hairline is definitely 52.”
Rich Whitehead suggests: “He’s been 19 for 20 years now.”
