I’M A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! host Declan Donnelly addressed the fix claims in tonight’s episode of the ITV reality show.

The Geordie presenter tickled viewers as he poked fun at the conspiracy theory that celebrities are told who has been eliminated before it is shown live on air.

Dec poked fun at the conspiracy theory

The speculation started when eagle-eyed fans noticed that both Noel Edmonds and Malique Thompson-Dwyer were wearing their backpacks and looked ready to leave before their names were announced as the celebrity being booted out of the jungle.

During one of the live links in tonight’s show, Holly Willoughby, 37, said to the camera: “Who will be leaving next?”

Without missing a beat, 43-year-old Dec turned to his co-host and said: “Well if the conspiracy theories are anything to go by, whoever’s got their backpack on…”

The father-of-one then further mocked the suggestion with dramatic “shifty eyes”.

Needless to say, viewers at home enjoyed the “fix claim” dig, and took to social media to share their approval.

One fan wrote: “Dec f***ing addressed the backpack conspiracy” alongside a crying with laughter emoji.

Another added: “Dec ripping the ‘eagle eyed viewers’ is amazing! Who’s got their backpack on…”

Fans noticed that Malique was the only celeb with a backpack on before his elimination was announced

Social media erupted during last night’s episode when viewers noticed that 20-year-old Malique was the only celebrity who had his backpack and coat on when Dec and Holly entered the camp to announce who had been eliminated.

Noel was also spotted with his bag before his elimination

Viewers also noticed Noel, 69, was the only one with his bag on his knee before his departure on Friday, and many took to Twitter to discuss the coincidence and claim the show was fixed as a consequence.

One wrote: “Did anyone else notice that Malique had his bag on before they even called his name or was that just me???”

Another added: “Perhaps @imacelebrity would look less fixed if whenever there’s a vote off the person who ends up going is the only one that has been sat there with their bags packed the whole time.”
