FLOYD MAYWEATHER’S exhibition bout against Tenshin Nasukawa will not be broadcasted in the US despite the pay-per-view platform being announced.
FITE TV, who broadcasted Chuck Liddell vs Tito Ortiz 3 last month, announced they will be streaming the Japanese MMA event Rizin 14 on PPV, on December 31.
The card will have 14 bouts on it including Rizin bantamweight Grand Prix winner Kyoji Horiguchi and Bellator MMA bantamweight champion Darrion Caldwell facing.
The main attraction of the event will be Mayweather’s three round boxing exhibition against undefeated kickboxer Nasukawa, 20.
However, Mayweather’s fight will not be shown to viewers in the USA, Canada, Mexico or Japan.
It’s believed this is a tactic to increase ticket sales with no other means of viewing the one-off showdown.

Mayweather, 41, retired from professional boxing last August after he defeated UFC star Conor McGregor in ten round in Las Vegas.
That fight sold over 4.4million PPV’s, however, fans nay not be able to view Mayweather face his second consecutive southpaw boxing debutant.
It will be the first time the American has ever fought outside of the US, as he prepares to fight a man who campaignes regularly at 122lbs compared to Mayweather’s 147lbs.
Although US viewers will not see the undefeated Mayweather fight in Japan, the broadcasting situation in the UK is not clear.
Mayweather’s two biggest grossing fights, against Manny Pacquiao and McGregor, were shown on Sky Sports PPV – while Money also had his fights shown on BoxNation.
However, it’s unlikely a TV station will pick up the Japanese event with the most likely broadcaster being a PPV streaming platform.
