EASTENDERS’ Alfie Moon was feared dead last night after being pushed down the stairs by Hayley Slater.
But eagle-eyed fans are more obsessed with his stunt double – and his likeness to former Oasis rocker Noel Gallagher.
After the shocking scene played out during the hour-long special episode, viewers played back the moment to watch it again.
But after pausing the screen, a number of fans realised the man who took part in the stunt bore a real likeness to 51-year-old Noel.
Tweeting the snap, one fan said: “Nice to see Noel Gallagher hired as Alfie Moon’s stunt-double on EastEnders tonight.”
Another joked: “Noel Gallagher stepping in as Alfie Moon’s stunt double is the Christmas twist 2018 deserves!”
The stunt took place at the end of last night’s nail-biting episode, when Kat Slater discovered Alfie was the father of Hayley’s baby daughter Cherry.
In tonight’s instalment, Kat is seen sobbing over Alfie’s lifeless body before turning on Hayley and brutally attacking her.
Grabbing Hayley round the throat, Kat screams as she tries to choke the life out of her.
Luckily Stacey is on hand to stop another near-death incident and manages to grapple with Kat and pull her away from the terrified mum.
On Christmas Day, fans were on the edge of their seats as they watched Kat break down after discovering Alfie – played by Shane Richie – was the father of Stacey’s baby daughter Cherry.
During a vicious showdown, Alfie showed his true colours and blasted his wife – mocking her and the sexual abuse she’d endured as a teenager.
Hearing his cruel words, Hayley, actress Katie Jarvis, vowed he would never be allowed to see baby Cherry again and launched herself at him.
Viewers are now waiting to find out if Alfie will pull through.

Speaking ahead of tonight’s episode, actress Jessie Wallace said Kat was blind with rage when attacking Hayley and hinted anything is possible.
