THE husband of a missing mum has made a desperate plea for her to come home after her two young sons begged him to find her before Christmas.
Gareth Kettlety has been leading a campaign to find his wife Kimberley Kettlety, 35, who disappeared in Newport, Wales last month.
He last spoke to Kimberley on November 7 when he’d arranged for one of their sons to stay the night at her house the following weekend.
Despite not hearing from her all week, Gareth, who’s separated from Kimberley, still took their sons Max, 11, and Ethan, seven, to their usual meeting spot in Newport town centre, Wales Online reports.
But Kimberley didn’t turn up .
She was last seen on November 8 near the Dolman Theatre and Lower Dock Street area in Newport.
Train mechanic Gareth said his sons now fear their mum might not be home for Christmas.
He said: “The weekend just gone it sort of dawned on them that she might not be home for Christmas.
“That was difficult. They sort of twigged themselves. They are telling me that I have got to find her for Christmas.”
Gareth said it’s Kimberley’s turn to have the boys with her on Christmas morning this year.
He explained: “They would have stayed at her parents’ house,” he said. “Kim would have stayed up there and Kim’s sister would probably have come round as well.”
Garet, 34, told Kimberley’s parents that she’d failed to show up for their meeting. She was then formally reported missing to Gwent Police.
He said: “The police have said her last point of contact was a phone call with her boyfriend,” he said.
“She left [her parent’s house] by taxi and she got off at that little cul-de sac-by the Dolman Theatre.”
When Kimberley’s family checked her home in Maesglas, the front door was open and she’d left her mobile phone and keys behind.
Christmas presents she’d bought for the boys were also found in the house.

Over the last month, Gareth has been handing out leaflets and organising search party events in Newport.
He has now started a Facebook group called Help Find Kim,
Gareth added: “I had four weeks of work for stress which has helped me to organise these events and be with the kids as well. But it is tough. The boys want her home. They are really missing her.”
