MICHAEL OWEN believes Arsenal have a new Cristiano Ronaldo on their hands in youngster Bukayo Saka.
The former Liverpool striker was waxing lyrical over the 17-year-old following his performance against Qarabag in the Europa League.
Arsenal ran out 1-0 winners and Saka, who made his full debut, tormented the opposition defence with his raw talent and ability.
He could have capped his performance with a goal but his strike was straight at the keeper.
And Owen believes Saka showed glimpses that he could rise to the very top, even comparing him to five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo.
Speaking to BT Sport after the game, he said: “He looked really nervous at the start of the game, myself and Martin were both talking about it.
“But he certainly grew into the game. Just him having the courage to run at players was really refreshing to see.
“Some of the skill… I watched Ronaldo doing this the other day for Juventus.
“It’s absolutely brilliant and so unlucky that it wasn’t given a goal.
“He’s just different class and by the end of the game, his confidence was oozing.

Arsenal boss Unai Emery also heaped praise on the talent and singled out his “big personality.”
The Spaniard added: “They show us in every match positive things. And today Saka also, he played with a good performance with a very big personality,
“Not every action was good for us, but his personality is very important to continue in the second half trying to do one-on-ones and break lines with his quality.
“He played with a very big personality for the 90 minutes, and with sometimes a good performance. And for him it’s very important for his confidence.”
