Wrestling icon Mark Calaway is now 53 and has been one of the most pivotal figures in WWE’s success for the last 30 years.
The Deadman, in his many evolving forms over the years, still has the most famous ring-walk in the game and finishing moves the chokeslam and Tombstone Piledrive thrilled generations of fans for decades.
The Phenom is approacing the end of his career but, in a rare interview, Gunner Calaway, has revealed he is not training to following in his father’s giant footsteps.
He told The Ring, The Cage, and The Stage: “I’d say as a kid, definitely. You see it so much and you’re just think like, ‘Wow, how cool would that be?’ In my eyes, it was like being a superhero.
“As you get older, you get into your teenage years and kind of want to be independent and find your own interests.

“So, in my young adult life I steered away from wrestling and tuned in when it was necessary.
“I went to Full Sail University and got my Bachelor’s as a Video Game Artist, that’s kind of the path I’m setting before myself.
“I’d like to, in the next five to ten years, be an artist for a team in a production company for video games.
“Something I could put my 3D skills to good use and eventually own my own indie company.”
‘Taker carried WWE during some of their toughest years and he never jumped ship to rivals WCW during their infamous Monday Night Wars, unlike many of his peers.

THE SURVIVOR SERIES dream match between Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey is OFF.
Fans have been counting down the seconds to the champion versus champion showdown at Sunday’s blockbuster pay-per-view.
But, during a SmackDown live melee on Tuesday night Lynch was hit with a blow to the nose, causing it to bleed heavily and reportedly leaving her with a concussion.
Because of that loyalty, WWE owner Vince McMahon has always idolised his star attraction and 25-year-old Gunner Calaway says the bad-guy boss is only a character for TV.
He said: “Oh, yeah I’ve met Vince. He’s not like how he is on TV, he’s a fun guy to talk to, for sure.
“All of the wrestlers, you see them act a certain way and then meet them in person and they’d be so humble and giving of their time and just be respectful to people. It’s really refreshing, I think.”
