TUNISIA is set to be one of the hottest travel destinations among Brits next year, according to Thomas Cook.
Following the re-introduction of Tunisia to British holidaymakers at the start of 2018, the travel company has increased the number of flights and hotels throughout the year to meet customer demand.
Next summer, the company is offering 27 hotels across six resorts and 17 weekly flights from the UK, up from 11 this summer.
The surge in interest is being driven by the level of hotel that holidaymakers can get for a cheap price, thanks to it being a non-Euro destination.
Year-round good weather, white sandy beaches and and as well a history dating back to Roman times are also a huge draw.
This time last year, summer 2018 package holidays had only been available to book for a few months, and bookings for next summer are currently up five-fold.

The share of family bookings is up 16 per cent year-on-year too, with families so far accounting for 66 per cent of summer 2019 bookings for Thomas Cook- a higher proportion than to the Canaries or Cyprus.
Tunisia has long been an affordable holiday destination for Brit sun seekers – but terror attacks in recent years have made it increasingly dangerous to travel to the country.
Until last summer, Brits had been discouraged from visiting the country FCO advised against all but essential travel to Tunisia and warned against going to certain areas all together.
The Foreign Office warning came after 30 Brits were killed during an attack by an Islamic State extremist in Port El Kantaoui, just north of Sousse, in 2015.

But in August 2017 the advice changed, the government no longer advised against travel to Tunisia, except for parts of the south and interior and certain areas near the borders with Algeria and Libya, and in February of this year Thomas Cook resumed their flights to the country.
Now, even more areas have been opened up to tourists.
The FCO no longer advise against travel to Médenine, which featured twice in Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace[/caption]
According to a new announcement, the FCO no longer advise against all but essential travel to the town of Jendouba, and some areas of southern Tunisia, including the towns of Médenine, Tataouine and Douz.
Jendouba, a small city in the north west of the country that sits close to the ancient Roman city of Bullaregia, has a long history as an important economic town during the Roman Empire.

But Brits have been flocking back to Tunisia this summer in their droves, with the beaches full of Brits.
The country, alongside Egypt and Turkey, is now drawing holidaymakers away from popular holiday spots in Spain like Benidorm and Ibiza.
