New photo Tributes to man, 28, run down and killed by Range Rover in ‘hit and run’ in Walsall

FRIENDS and family have paid tribute to a man who died in a “hit and run” accident in Walsall.


Carl Moore, 28, was hit by a Range Rover which left the scene outside the Boatman’s Rest pub in Walsall Wood at about 12.30am on Saturday.

The man later died in hospital.


Tributes have already poured in on social media and flowers have been left at the scene by his family and well-wishers.


He was described as being “lovely” and a “top lad”.


Satty Kitaure wrote on Facebook: “Here today gone tomorrow…. you never know when it’s your time…. I had just recently got to know you and you was a top top lad!! God bless you brother x R.I.P Carl Moore.”

Stephanie Craven Wilcox, added: “Heart breaking. Such a lovely lad.”


Diane Thomas said: “Such tragic news to wake up to this morning. RIP Carl Moore. Thoughts are with his family and to the people who tried so hard for him last night . God bless mate.”


Tim Harris, also writing on Facebook, said “RIP Carl Moore you will be missed buddy”.

Kelly Emery, said: “My heart goes out to this poor man’s family and friends.”


Stefan Gvozdenovic, 33, Walsall has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop.


He will appear at Walsall Magistrates court on Monday.
