A MOVING photo showing a round of pints placed on a table on Remembrance Sunday has touched the hearts of thousands online.
A loyal solider is said to have bought drinks for eight of his fallen comrades who died on the battlefield in Afghanistan.
Each pint is placed on top of a photo of the brave squaddies — and is topped with a Royal British Legion poppy.
The pic was uploaded to Facebook where it moved a fellow soldier so much that he felt compelled to share it on Twitter.
Since then it has been seen thousands of times and sparked an outpouring of support.
Twitter user and Help For Heroes fundraiser @StCrad, who initially posted the Tweet, wrote: “A soldier walks into a bar and buys 8 pints for his dead comrades in Afghanistan, drinks his pint and leaves the bar leaving photos of each mate at there glass”.

Others posted supportive comments on Twitter and Facebook.
One said: “So heartwarming to see such a fantastic gesture of humanity over a mere few pints. Pictures can say a thousand words.
Another wrote: “The word Hero is thrown about a lot these days, (in my opinion) the fallen from all conflicts, the emergency services and Heroes who put their own lives on the line to save others.
“They are heroes too me.”

On Sunday millions across the country joined Royals, politicians and dignitaries as they fell silent at 11am to mark 100 years since the First World War came to an end.
In stirring and emotional scenes, The Queen – joined by Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton, looked on as Princes Charles, William and Harry led the laying of poppy wreathes at the Cenotaph on Whitehall.
And later in the day Her Majesty led senior members of her family and the Prime Minister in a moving Remembrance service at Westminster Abbey.
The Queen appeared touched by the occasion as she bowed at the Grave of the Unknown Soldier in the Abbey.
