Most brides wait until the honeymoon to start stripping off for the beach, but the new wife of Sam Sangster, son of late racing magnate Robert Sangster, couldn’t hold out that long.

Bloodstock agent Sam, 31, married yoga instructor Madeleine Crewe-Read, 30, at the weekend in a ceremony in Barbados, followed by a party at Nikki Beach. 

Sporting an elegant white lace dress for the nuptials, Madeleine later changed into a white bikini and danced in front of guests (right).

Sam is the son of glamorous socialite Susan Sangster, who was called a ‘career divorcee’ after amassing a fortune through her four marriages.

Harsh, 33, whose real name is Jay Clarke and who regularly parties with supermodel Kate Moss, shared this picture online with the caption: ‘Finally!! Jodie met Jodie.’

Hockney's masterpiece

David Hockney, who became the highest-selling living artist last week when one of his works sold for £70 million, says the price of art is excessive and has questioned the ethics of the industry’s finances.

With a £62 million estimate, the painting, above, which belongs to billionaire Spurs owner Joe Lewis, is expected to break all records for a living artist. It is one of Hockney’s best known and most reproduced works

‘The price of art is so ridiculous, I just assume it’s drug money,’ says the artist, 81. 

‘Because that money’s not sitting in cardboard boxes in Colombia, it’s being invested.’

Love artfully: Freud’s cryptic gift

Broadcaster Emma Freud, 56, is upping the ante with her partner, screenwriter Richard Curtis, 62, with whom she has four children.

Actress Helena Bonham Carter has been sworn to secrecy over her new role as Princess Margaret in hit Netflix series The Crown.

Their romance didn’t survive after his release as a hostage in the Middle East, but broadcaster John McCarthy touchingly says he still ‘loves’ his ex-fiancee, Jill Morrell.

McCarthy, 61, who split with Jill four years after his release in 1991, for which she tirelessly campaigned, is now married to photographer Anna Ottewill and has a 13-year-old daughter, Lydia. 

McCarthy says: ‘I saw Jill a couple of weeks ago. [We] are still very close. The love I feel for her is there still.’
