And on Tuesday, Pete Evans was back to his old tricks when he indulged in a bizarre ritual with his wife, Nicola Robinson.
An Instagram photo saw the the 45-year-old submerged in what he referred to as the couples' 'very first ice bath and tea ceremony'.

Sharing a photograph of himself relaxing in an outdoor bath, the My Kitchen Rules star penned the details of the ritual in the caption.
'Yesterday was a very special day and Nic and I started it with our very first ice bath and a tea ceremony,' he wrote.
'Thanks to the awesome team of Willow and Jason at @chozeninteriors in Murwillumbah for helping us choose and then to deliver this beautiful bath for us.

An 'ice bath' involves submerging the body in ice for a period of time and is considered controversial for its risks of hypothermia and shock.
Meanwhile, a 'tea ceremony' is the act of preparing and presenting tea in a ritualistic manner.

The rituals come after Pete shared another bizarre declaration about 'the celebration of life' on social media last month.
Alongside a smoldering selfie, he wrote: 'The dream, the reality, the matrix, the ego, the divinity, the trap, the search, the freedom, the game...'
The caption went on for almost twenty more lines, continuing with: 'The past, the future, the light, the darkness, the calm, the wild, the peace, the decay, the mystery...'

And Pete is known for his strict adherence to the Paleolithic diet, and enjoys a diet of activated almonds, emu meatballs and bone broth.
He previously revealed that skipping meals and only eating when he's hungry 'has added 30 years to his life expectancy'.
