MADISON Beer revealed the music video for Hurts Like Hell was inspired by witchcraft.
The 19-year-old – who was discovered by Justin Bieber – released her latest track, which features Cardi B’s husband Offset, earlier this week.
Madison co-wrote the track with Charlie XCX and said the video reflected female empowerment.
In the offering she plays a witch who is hell-bent on wreaking havoc.
Speaking about the powerful scenes, Madison explained: “I had such a clear vision of what I wanted to do for this video and it was such a rewarding experience working alongside Mike Harris and having him help take my ideas and make them a reality, far surpassing what I had expected.
“I am so grateful for his brilliance and professionalism as a director and could not be happier with how the video turned out.
“I was inspired by witchcraft and felt that it perfectly fit with the theme of the song, which is about teaching someone a lesson.
“I’m so happy Offset was involved in this project and was able to bring such an incredible energy to the video.”
Critics have gone wild for the song, which has been hailed her “biggest track to date”.
Speaking to The Sun Online earlier this year, Madison opened up about what was like to be catapulted to fame at such a young age.
Madison explained: “I had to move out of my home in New York when I was 13. I left all my friends, family, my dogs and summer camp… all that stuff behind.
“I moved out to LA with my mom and brother. That was difficult for me. I think the hardest
part was seeing all my friends graduate without me and go to college.”
And although she’s focusing on her music career, Madison said she wouldn’t turn down an acting role if the right one came along.

She added: “My dream role would be to play a murderer in a horror movie.
“The Orphan is one of my favourite movies I just love horror movies.
“But I don’t want to be getting killed. I want to be like the psycho.”
