A ‘LOOKALIKE’ doll based on Idris Elba has left movie fans in tears of laughter after claims it looks nothing like the Hollywood star.
The muscly doll dressed in a suave suit has a £850 price tag and was widely mocked for its “evil” eyes and bald head.
Stunned fans said the attempt at mirroring the Luther actor was as bad as the Cristiano Ronaldo bust at Madeira Airport, which was ridiculed for being nothing like the footballer.
Some said the limited edition doll offered by British manufacturer Emperis had more of a liking to American actor Romany Malco.
A woman named Court was one of the first people to spot the bizarre-looking doll, and tweeted: “This doll is supposed to be Idris? Somebody getting fired.”
Another replied: “Wait that was supposed to be Idris Elba? somebody needs to fix that.”
Other social media users waded in with other comparisons, including the late Russian actor Yul Brynner and even Marvel comic book character Ming the Merciless.
Twitter user Tana Hargest said: “This is supposed to be an Idris Elba doll. Instead, it looks like Ming the Merciless, aka Blax von Sydow.”
One wrote: “Looks like Yul Brynner. #fail”, while another tweeted: “It looks like the dude from the ‘40 year old Virgin’!”
Tweeting a picture of Disney’s Aladdin villain Jafar, Erin said: “Gotta be Jafar with them eyebrows”.
Golden Globe winner Elba, 46, was recently voted People Magazine’s ‘sexiest man alive’ and is tipped to become the next James Bond.
On their website Emperis said: “We have been making handcrafted fine art and fashion dolls since 2010. This has allowed us to turn our passion into a business but also transformed into a special kind of art form.

Emperis, which was established in 2010, is marketed as the firm behind the “only handcrafted ball joined doll that is not only designed but also made in England”.
Elba’s reps are yet to comment and it’s not clear if he’s seen the doll.
