I’M A CELEBRITY kicks off later this week – and now the camp in the Australian bush where the stars will be staying has been unveiled for the first time.
The stars will be forced to live in the show’s most basic camp ever and battle it out to win places in another more luxurious living space.
On the first day, the contestants will be challenged to win a spot in a superior camp or risk being sent to basic Snake Rock, where they will live on rations for the first few days.
Not only will the losers be hungry they will also have to sleep on the floor with nothing but a ground mat.
Senior show editor Olly Nash said: “We have got our biggest walk-in this year so the camp will be divided into two for the first few days so there will be a winners’ camp Croc Creek and a losers’ camp snake Rock with rice and beans sleeping on the floor.
“Walk-in has a number of events to choose your team and then they will go head-to-head in a race.
“Snake Rock will be very basic this year, last year it was a positive place to be. This time they are sleeping on the floor with ground sheets. And just a very small portion of race and beans. If you end up in Snake Rock there will be more horrors to await you and those in the main camp will have it easy.”
He hinted at the show’s usual exciting stunts in the opening episode and said: “You can be pretty sure you are going to get parachute jumps and height challenges when they go in, those universal fears to test them with.”
One of the new ‘treats’ celebs will be fed this year are sea urchins.
Olly added: “There are newer and bigger trials and we might serve Sea Urchin. They are horrible spiky little balls with little meat on them.”
The show’s famous Love Seat has morphed into a tree house and replaced with a four person bench – to encourage campmate to have a gossip.
Olly said: “It has got longer and bigger so people could sleep on it or several of you can sit on there and chat.”
Just like in previous years, the line-up will be treated to the same no-frills surroundings, including the famous jungle bath, Bush Telegraph and long drop dunny.
The stars will be seen entering the camp for the first time when the show kicks off on Sunday night.
And just like in previous years, this year’s camp does not disappoint.
Celebrities, including Nick Knowles, Harry Redknapp, Noel Edmonds and Emily Atack, will all be living in close quarters in the same leafy area.
They’ll each have their own hammock situated near a cosy campfire and seating area – unless they’re sent to Snake Rock.
The camp’s iconic jungle bath, where the star’s can freshen up and wash their clothes, has made a return.
If that’s too close to home, however, the iconic waterfall and pond area is also back in action.
Similarly, the long drop dunny – the Aussie term for a pit toilet – has likewise made a comeback.
And so has the Bush Telegraph – a small room with a wooden chair from which the stars can vent about their fellow camp mates.
Ahead of the launch on Sunday night, new co-host Holly Willoughby sent her This Morning co-star Phillip Schofield and her replacement Rochelle Humes a video from the jungle set to give them an update.
She said: “It’s only me in the Australian jungle.
“I’ve arrived safe and sound, I’m settling into my new home. It’s amazing here.
“It’s so beautiful, for someone who is not that brilliant with nature I’m sort of fitting in OK.”

Holly then talked the pair through what she had been up to since landing Down Under.
She said: “I’ve seen my first spider, I think I sent you footage of that Phil.
“It was only a little one but it was a real life spider.
“I’m lifting up toilet seats wherever I go, I’m checking the inside of my shoes.”
