New photo Chelsea news: Maurizio Sarri loses out on Best Italian Coach of 2018 award to Juventus’ Max Allegri

JUVENTUS boss Max Allegri has seen off Chelsea’s Maurizio Sarri to be named Best Italian Coach of 2018.

The five-time Serie A winner has scooped the prestigious Panchina d’Oro award for a record fourth time after guiding Juve to another title last season.

Allegri saw off competition from Sarri, who won while in charge of Napoli two years ago, as well as Lazio’s Simone Inzaghi.

It’s the second year running Allegri has won the award, with previous winners including Jose Mourinho, Roberto Mancini and Antonio Conte.

Juve have already opened up a six-point gap at the top of the Serie A table this term, winning 11 of their first 12 matches.

The Italians added Cristiano Ronaldo to their ranks in the summer before re-signing Leonardo Bonucci from AC Milan, and are considered one of the strong favourites for 2019’s Champions League crown.

Reflecting on his latest achievement, Allegri said: “Like I always say, the less damage we do the better. I want to thank my staff, who take so much pressure off me and let me grow older more slowly.

“Credit must also go to the players and club. I hope to stay here for a long time. Now I’m more reflective. My years of experience in Serie A have let me grow.

“The objective is to win our eighth Scudetto and then this blessed Champions League. We’ll see if we have a bit of luck on our side. The important thing is to understand how we’ll be in March.

“The level has risen, so we must have the quality to match. For the Scudetto, however, our attentions are on Napoli and Inter.”

Hayden says: “I don’t have a model’s body, but I’m not one of those crazy girls who thinks that they’re fat. I’m OK with what I have.”

Nicollette says: “I don’t like diets – I see it, I eat it! I believe in eating healthily with lots of protein, vegetables and carbs to give you energy.”
