ANDY MURRAY’S comeback from injury appears to be on track judging by a video of him in training.
Murray, 31, has played just 12 matches in 2018 after struggling to recover from a hip injury.
His last competitive game was way back on September 28 when he lost to Fernando Verdasco in the Shenzhen Open quarter-finals in China.
But in the six weeks since, the former British No1 has been training with reconditioning expert Bill Knowles at HP Sports.
And he posted a video of Murray working hard in the gym as he fights to be fit for the new season.
The 16 short clips show him doing a range of exercises from weights to gymnastics to swimming pool canoeing.
Knowles said: “A great team effort over the past 6 weeks supporting an intensive Reconditioning Camp for Andy Murray. Restoring athletic normal and preparing for 2019!”
Murray underwent career-saving surgery in January to try and fix his problematic hip.
His initial comeback was short-lived – he managed three matches on the grass but pulled out of Wimbledon.
Again, the US hard-court season proved too much as he suffered an early exit at Flushing Meadows, losing to Spaniard Verdasco before he crashed out to the same opponent in China a month later.

Murray took the rest of the year off to give himself the best chance of being fit for the new season in January and the first Grand Slam of the year in Australia.
The extended spell out means his ranking has suffered massively – the former world No1 is now 262nd on the planet.
It is a stark contrast to his great rival and good friend Novak Djokovic who also had surgery at the beginning of the year.
The Serb, also 31, managed to get himself back into contention and has enjoyed a fantastic last six months, winning Wimbledon and the US Open as well as the Masters 1000 titles in Cincinnati and Shanghai.
He will end the year as the world No1 despite falling to 22nd after his elbow operation.
And Djokovic is desperate to cap the season with the year-ending Nitto ATP Finals crown.
He is the hot favourite and began his campaign on Monday with a comfortable win over John Isner, cheered on by none other than Cristiano Ronaldo.
After a terrible opening match against Kei Nishikori, Roger Federer looked his usual, brilliant self last night when he dispatched Dominic Thiem in little over an hour at The O2.
