HALESOWEN TOWN produced one of the greatest comebacks in football history in the FA Youth Cup last night.
Nuneaton Borough were 7-2 up with less than 30 minutes left to play, but the visitors heroically managed to turn the game around to win 9-8.
Halesowen were chasing a 4-1 deficit at half-time, but John Hill’s men achieved the unthinkable in the 17-goal thriller.
And some fans have boldly claimed that the comeback at Liberty Way is the greatest of all time.
One Twitter user said: “Could this genuinely be one of the greatest comebacks in football history.”
Another added: “That is absolutely remarkable. What a team.”

And one joked: “Halesowen obviously had the wind in the second half.”
Luis Corcoran was the star of the show for the home side after he found the net five times during the second round qualifier.
After 90 minutes, Nuneaton were 8-7 ahead and looked set to book their spot in the next round.
But Emlyn Tudgay remarkably scored twice in the dying stages of stoppage time to win his side the match 9-8 in front of 83 fans.

Hill’s men will be hoping for a more straight forward win in the next round of the FA Youth Cup.
But it’s a different story for the home side, who are reportedly at risk of folding if a new club owner cannot be found.
