RYAN Connor’s life is left hanging in the balance in Coronation Street next week after the DJ is mown down by Ronan Truman who wants revenge for Ryan’s part in the death of his son, Cormac.
Fans of the ITV soap watched last week as Cormac had a fit and died after taking a dodgy ecstasy pill before a night out with Ryan, Sophie Webster and Bethany Platt.
Ryan, played by Ryan Prescott, discovered Cormac fitting but called his sort-of brother doctor Ali Neeson instead of an ambulance.
Ali was unable to save him and by the time Ryan had got it together and called the paramedics, Cormac was already dead.
Ronan will find out the truth in scenes set to air this week before swearing the Ryan’s mum Michelle that he fully plans on getting even and will be waiting for his chance.
As next week kicks off Michelle, Kym Marsh, is fearful for Ryan when he’s attacked in prison by a corrupt officer who lets him know that he works for Ronan.
She’s spooked when her partner Robert Preston finds a wreath on his car and another arrives at the flat later.
Michelle pays Ronan a visit to tell him that Ryan was trying to protect his drug-dealing son from getting into trouble but Ronan just looks at her with contempt.
A frightened Michelle then tells Ryan and Ali, James Burrows, that she thinks they need to ask for police protection.
But as they get into the car, they’re aware that Ronan is following them. With no choice Michelle floors it with the drug baron in hot pursuit.

The trio are horrified when Michelle’s engine suddenly cuts out thanks to an angry Tracy Barlow tampering with it to get Abi Franklin in trouble.
They realise they are now just sitting ducks and before long Ronan wreaks his revenge and a terrifying car crash takes place.
Ryan emerges from the smashed up vehicle and Ronan doesn’t miss the opportunity to exact even more revenge and drives straight into him.
