Cassandra Wood and Brittany Hockley have previously insisted that they are the best of friends after bonding while filming The Bachelor.

But now there's speculation that their friendship could be in trouble after Cass allegedly reunited with Nick 'Honey Badger' Cummins after filming of the show finished.

Brittany has widely been reported as the 'winner' of the season, but multiple media outlets have claimed that she already split with Honey Badger.

Cassandra currently follows Nick on Instagram, but Brittany and fellow finalist Sophie Tieman do not.

Cass and Brittany have formed a close bond since appearing on The Bachelor together.

This was evident after outraged Bachelor fans accused Brittany of 'slut shaming' Cassandra during a confrontation about her sexual history that aired last week.

However, the 24-year-old student pleaded with viewers to leave Brittany alone and insisted they were still 'best friends' despite their on-camera confrontation.

According to New Idea on Monday, Nick ended his relationship with the 'winner' - widely rumoured to be Brittany - following the season finale and subsequently reached out to Cassandra.

According to a close friend, Nick apparently 'struggled emotionally' after filming the last episodes in New Caledonia in late May and early June, eventually realising he had made the wrong decision.

'He didn't expect things to end that way and wasn't really prepared to have feelings for more than one person at a time,' they added.

While Cassandra was supposedly reluctant to take Nick back, the insider claimed she eventually decided to give the rugby star a second chance.

'She understands why he did what he did [by sending her home early]. She believes in fate and thinks this whole thing will just make them stronger,' the source said.

It follows a similar report by NW this week that Cassandra was having the last laugh after Nick supposedly came crawling back after dumping the show's winner.

The magazine's source claimed the sportsman 'pulled a Blake Garvey' and abruptly changed his mind just weeks after declaring his love for radiographer Brittany.

'The pressure was on for him to prove that Cass wasn't planted on the show for him, and he made a rash decision [to send her home], but it wasn't a decision that he sincerely wanted to make,' they said.

While Nick won't be in the country on Thursday when the finale airs, the insider alleged that Nick and Cassandra will debut their romance upon his return.
