Buying furniture was once a case of 'you get what you pay for'.
But thanks to a slew of affordable retailers taking their place in the market, buyers in search of a stylish bargain are proving to be the real winners.
Now Aldi Australia has joined the ranks, and is set to launch its range of Special Buys homewares in Australia on Wednesday.
Among the collection are sleek coffee tables, compact entertainment units and trendy leather couches - all for a fraction of the price of their high end competitors.

Some standouts from the collection are a tanned swivel accent chair which retails for just $149 and its well-price sofa counterpart costing just $249.
Additionally, a butler's tray table is available for $19.99, the entertainment unit $129 and punters can score a lift-up coffee table for only $59.99.
Also available for purchase are a range of intricate homewares, including rugs, curtains and on-trend seagrass baskets.

Opposite to what's on sale at Aldi, buyers can expect to pay several thousand dollars for relatively similar products at other retailers (left is the butler's tray table, $19.99, and right is the console table, $69.99)
