RUSSIAN leader Vladimir Putin has vowed to go on and on as Russian leader, refusing to contemplate retirement.
The 66-year-old – hit by the scandal over Novichok poisoning in Salisbury – told Chinese business magnate Jack Ma that it was too early to take his pension.
Putin criticised Alibaba co-founder Ma for planning to retire when he reaches the age of 55.
“I am not going anywhere, and I don’t have such thoughts,” Putin told him.
The Russian president said: “I’d like to ask that young man sitting over there eating Russian snacks, Jack Ma, you are still so young, why are you retiring?”
The tycoon said he had ”many things I hope to accomplish, like education and philanthropy”.

Putin told him: “You’re younger than me.”
He asked: “Are you really going to retire with your level of energy?”
The exchange was revealed by Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
State news agency Tass seized on the comment, running a story headlined: “Putin says he’s not going to step down”.

This year the Kremlin leader won a new six year term.
Putin will be 66 next month and would be 71 if he serves a full term.
The constitution currently bans him from seeking another term.
There is speculation in Moscow as to when he will anoint his chosen successor – but for now, there are no frontline favourites replace to the all-powerful “tsar”.
