WANT more bang for your online buck?
Eighteen per cent of all goods purchased in June were bought online, the Office for National Statistics says, up from 14 per cent in 2017. Click smart with these useful tips.
- Check auction sites. One in six of us have sold something online. But did you know top brands such as Boohoo have their own eBay outlet? Its leopard-print bandeau dress is £10 on the main site but just £7.50 on eBay. The same return policy applies too.

- Pay less for delivery. Do your sums and save. A pair of New Look red court heels are £17.99, plus £3.99 delivery. But add a couple of items from its recently reduced beauty range at £1 each and you qualify for free delivery on a £19.99 spend.
SAVE: £1.99
- Compare it. Going straight to the brand you want might cost more than going via comparison sites such as kelkoo.co.uk, pricerunner.co.uk and mysupermarket.co.uk. White Adidas Stan Smith Originals trainers cost £74.95 on its own site but just £70 at Asos.
SAVE: £4.95
- Join the club. Sign up to zalando.co.uk and get a £10 discount — and the new H&M club ensures unlimited free delivery and ten per cent off your first order. An H&M £8.99 cotton striped shirt would cost £12.98 with the normal delivery fee — but sign up for free and pay just £8.09.
SAVE: £4.89
- Stay on high alert. With the likes of quidco.com and topcashback.co.uk, you can get pop-up notifications telling you if a store you are shopping at could give you a cashback saving. A floral midi dress from very.co.uk costs £40. But a Quidco alert reveals a seven per cent cashback offer, lowering the cost to just £37.20.

Hayden Panettiere
Size: 8
Age: 18
Height: 5ft 1in
Weight: 8st
To achieve her kick-ass figure, Hayden – who plays cheerleader Claire Bennet in Heroes – follows the ‘quartering’ rule. She eats only a quarter of the food on her plate, then waits 20 minutes before deciding whether she needs to eat again.
Hayden says: “I don’t have a model’s body, but I’m not one of those crazy girls who thinks that they’re fat. I’m OK with what I have.”
Nicollette says: “I don’t like diets – I see it, I eat it! I believe in eating healthily with lots of protein, vegetables and carbs to give you energy.”
kim cattrall
Size: 10-12
Age: 52
Height: 5ft 8in
Weight: 9st 4lb
SATC star Kim swears by gym sessions with Russian kettle bells (traditional cast-iron weights) and the South Beach Diet to give her the body she wants. To avoid overeating, Kim has a radical diet trick – squirting lemon juice on her leftovers – so she won’t carry on picking.
Kim says: “I am no super-thin Hollywood actress. I am built for men who like women to look like women.”
