FRENCH World Cup stars have been accused of letting the success in Russia go to their heads.
Kylian Mbappe will feature against Liverpool in the Champions League tomorrow night, but is serving a three-man domestic ban for petulant behaviour which earned him a straight red card.
The 19-year-old wonderkid was given his marching orders after reacting angrily to a rash challenge from Nimes’ Teji Savanier – who was also dismissed.
Mbappe, who scored in the 4-2 win, insisted after the game he had “no regrets” over the red card – and would do the same again if he received similar rough treatment.
Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris, a captain for both club and country, has faced fierce criticism after being found guilty of drink driving.
The 31-year-old stopper was allegedly more than twice over the drink-drive limit when he was caught by cops – just over a month after he lifted the World Cup in Moscow.
Vomit was also found in Lloris’ £65,000 Porsche Panamera when he was pulled up.
Lloris, who offered to step down as Spurs captain, was handed a £50,000 fine and 20-month driving ban for the offence.
And Marseille coach Rudi Garcia believes the duo’s recent conduct is related to their summer triumph.
Garcia said: “It’s less glamorous playing in the League.
I don’t want to make generalisations but why’s Hugo Lloris had some problems?
“Why’s Kylian Mbappe had some problems?
“Even if they aren’t of the same nature. I think that the World Cup comes into it – that’s why I’m using them as an example.”

Hayden says: “I don’t have a model’s body, but I’m not one of those crazy girls who thinks that they’re fat. I’m OK with what I have.”
Nicollette says: “I don’t like diets – I see it, I eat it! I believe in eating healthily with lots of protein, vegetables and carbs to give you energy.”
