New photo The Black Eyed Peas' Will.i.am checks his PHONE during AFL

The Black Eyed Peas did not appear ready to Get The Party Started at Melbourne's Optus Stadium on Saturday.

Despite acting as the AFL's main pre-game entertainment, lead singer Will.i.am looked bored and was seen checking his phone during the performance.

Viewers were more enthralled by Australian rocker Jimmy Barnes' vocals, taking to Twitter to ask the football league to book him 'for the next 10 years'.

The Black Eyed Peas' Will.i.am, apl.de.ap and Taboo, appeared on stage to perform their 2003 hit, Let's Get It Started, at AFL's grand final pre-game show.

However it appeared lead singer Will.i.am, real name William James Adams Jr., 43, was bored, as he was seen checking his phone while on stage.

The rapper and record producer, dressed in a black tank top, pants and yellow bomber jacket, picked up his phone which was located at the side of the stage, and proceeded to check the screen.

Viewers were quick to pick up on Will.i.am's actions, with one sharing to Twitter: 'Did one of The Black Eyed Peas just check his phone half way through the first song?'

While others commended Australian rocker Jimmy Barnes for his performance of hits Flame Trees and No Second Prize.
