PRINCE Harry has urged parents to protect their kids from violent online games, calling Fortnite “addictive” and “irresponsible”.
Speaking to mental health experts at a YMCA in West London, the Duke of Sussex, 34, launched an extraordinary attack on social media and modern gaming.
Harry, who is expecting his first child with Meghan Markle, 37, said parents don’t know what to do about their children’s addictions to Fortnite.
The game has millions of fans across the globe and sees players hunt for weapons to kill each other.
Harry said: “That game shouldn’t be allowed. Where is the benefit of having it in your household?
“It’s created to addict, an addiction to keep you in front of a computer for as long as possible. It’s so irresponsible.
“Parents have got their hands up – they don’t know what to do about it. It’s like waiting for the damage to be done.”

Upon its release, headteachers warned parents to keep their children away from Fortnite after they began turning up for school bleary-eyed following all-night gaming sessions.

At the same event at the YMCA, Harry practised ballet moves and cooed over a baby girl.
But the royal clearly had more serious matters on his mind as he also used the event to criticises social media, which he called “more addictive than alcohol and drugs”.
He added: “It’s more dangerous because it’s normalised and there are no restrictions to it. We are in a mind-altering time.”
The dad-to-be warned of a “global epidemic around young people’s mental health” and urged parents to ensure children put down their phones.

He said: “Without that human connection, when you do have a problem you have nowhere to go, and the only place you might go is online and you will probably end up getting bullied.”
The comments come after Harry and Meghan launched their own Instagram account.
Seemingly proving her husband right, Meghan has already been trolled on the account with cruel racist jibes.
