A WOMAN won an insurance payout after her motor was left damaged and scratched – because a horse had sex with it.
Aviva agreed to compensate her for repairs after the frisky stallion mounted her car and began humping.

The daft horse seemed to have mistaken the car for a mare and straddled the bodywork.
The woman gasped in horror when she saw the crumpled metal and scratched paint where the horse had scrabbled to get a foothold.
Nobody knows why the stallion took a fancy to the motor but the owner wrote on her insurance claim form “Caused by horse mounting my car.”
Aviva staff stifled their giggles and, after investigating to check it was not a fraudulent claim, agreed to pay out for repairs.
The firm, the UK’s biggest insurer, revealed the hilarious story today in a report saying it accepted 96 per cent of the claims it received in 2018, amounting to 991,700 commercial and personal claims collectively worth more than £3.8 billion.
HORSING AROUND
A mobile phone was replaced after a monkey snatched an insured customer’s bag during a holiday and smashed the handset after rifling through their belongings.
Another successful claim involved a customer needing medical assistance after being bitten by a gorilla during a trek to see the animals in their natural habitat.
An Aviva spokesperson said: “Their guide took them close to a group of gorillas and surprised one of them, who bit our customer on the arm and ran off.”
Compensation was paid after a hapless burglar broke into a resident’s shed to hide but locked himself in, making it a doddle for the police to catch him.
The insurer said it also paid out after fine cracks ruined waxwork heads created to look like actor Ben Affleck and singer Justin Bieber.
In another case, a customer locked a cat in his car while he was unloading groceries.
MONKEY BUSINESS
Later, noticing his hazards were on, he went outside and found the cat, which had caused significant damage to the interior of the car.
Aviva repaired the car – the cat was uninjured.
The firm said it accepted around 3,000 weather-related motor claims in the first half of 2018, mainly due to the adverse conditions from the Beast from the East.
It also had around 7,000 home insurance claims due to storms, flooding and freezing conditions in the first half of 2018.
The fire at a car park near the Liverpool Echo Arena on New Year’s Eve 2017 led to more than 120 fire claims, Aviva said.
It also said a combination of dry weather and high temperatures resulted in a rise in the number of road accidents reported to it over the summer of 2018.
Factors such as sun glare and an increase in the number of cars on the road were thought to be contributing factors.
Aviva said the reasons for some claims being logged but declined are common across the industry and include the value not meeting the policy excess – the first part of the claim that the customer pays.

Another main reason for saying no include failure to declare a pre-existing health condition or lifestyle choice – such as a dangerous sport like skiing – when the policy was taken out.
Andy Briggs, the firm’s chief executive officer, said: “Insurance is there to protect against the unexpected, no matter how unlikely the circumstance.
“And in volume and variety, our data on the claims we accepted in 2018 shows that Aviva helped its customers when they needed us most.”
