A British tourist couple have been left disappointed after paying $28 for a cheeseboard and being handed a basket they claim contained a few slices of crusty bread, crackers and a few bits of cheese.
Russell Brown and his wife Maxine were visiting the Core Cider House, a trendy cider brewery in Pickering Brook in the Perth hills in Western Australia - when they decided to treat themselves to the $28 (£15) gourmet cheese platter after a long walk.
The ravenous couple then claim they were left with rumbling stomachs after their meal arrived at the table.
However, Core Cider House believe the visitors may have been a little more hungry than they let on and ate some of the platter before taking the snap.

'Apart from a $6 hot dog it was the first meal of the holiday I'd bought and I just thought "we're in bother here, we're not going to last a week in Perth",' Mr Brown told Perth Now.
'You expect to pay a bit more in cities like Perth but I could have knocked that up in five minutes - and to put it in a basket that big was a joke.'
Although impressed with the venue's outlook and live music, Mr Brown said the cheese board left him feeling short-changed.
Core's menu states the Cheese Board, which sits under the 'great to share' section, is a 'chef selection of 3 premium WA cheeses from Harvey and Denmark with nuts, dried and fresh fruit and crackers' for $28.

'We thought it was going to be a right feast for that price.
'It said 'cheese board', not a few scratty bits of raisins and a bit of cheese that could fit on a saucer.'
He then compared the sparse platter's price to what you'd get in the UK, saying diners could probably get a two-course meal for $28 (£15).
The platter is vastly different from what the cider house promotes on their social media pages.
Images fill their Instagram page showing full plates and wooden boards are filled to the brim with cold meats, cheeses and fruits as happy punters sip on frosted glasses of cider.
The Core Cider House however, believe the cheese board was much larger than it appears in the photo.
'The customer had already consumed some of this platter and there should have been plum chutney and fresh fruits,' a spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia.
'We did not get a complaint that things were missing that were listed - we would have absolutely and gladly replaced everything had we been informed that there were products that were apparently not there but should have been, but we weren't informed.'
Mr and Mrs Brown claim they only consumed 'one or two crackers and a bit of cheese' before taking the photo of the spread.
