A woman has been arrested for the murder of Rebecca Hall whose body was found naked in an alleyway nearly 20 years ago.

A woman has been arrested for the murder of a prostitute whose body was found naked in an alleyway nearly 20 years ago.

Single mother Rebecca Hall, 19, was found with severe head injuries two weeks after disappearing in Bradford in 2001.

Ms Hall, who had a four-month-old son, Jordan, was naked and her clothes were found nearby.

Police have now revealed a 37-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of her murder earlier this month, the Mirror reported. 

Detective Superintendent Jim Griffiths said: 'A 37-year-old woman was arrested on January 4 on susp­icion of murder and released under investigation. Active enquiries are ongoing.

'The passage of time does nothing to diminish our determination to bring the killers to justice'.

Ms Hall vanished after leaving her home in Little Horton, Bradford, on Thursday, April 26.

The sex worker was believed to be heading to Thornton Street, where she was later found dead, ITV reported. 

Dozens of suspects have been placed under surveillance following the young mother's death.

It is believed her missing items, including knee-high bots and a South Park watch, could be critical to the investigation.
