CHELSEA have agreed a six-month loan deal for Gonzalo Higuain, according to reports.
The Argentine striker is set to move to Stamford Bridge for the rest of the season and the Blues have an option to buy.
Respected Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that Chelsea can also extend the loan for the full 2019-20 season.
Maurizio Sarri’s men will play the Argentine forward’s wages for his loan period.
Higuain is currently on loan at AC Milan from Juventus, but Blues fans were delighted to see he was seemingly left out of the squad for the Supercoppa Italiana.

The entire squad posed for a photo for some of their hosts this morning, with the snap uploaded to Milan’s official Twitter account, but there was one famous face who could not be seen – Chelsea target Higuain.
Milan then posted more pictures showing the squad training, and again there was no sign of Higuain.
But it seems Higuain was otherwise occupied as he made the trip to Saudi Arabia and played in the 1-0 defeat.
The Argentine striker is currently on loan at Milan from Juventus, but he wants to quit in order to link up with former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge.
Excited Chelsea fans were quick to take to Twitter to discuss the picture, with one saying: “Higuain is missing here… on his way to Chelsea?”
Another wrote: “Either Higuain is all but confirmed to Chelsea or he’s the one who took this photo.”
One fan added: “I’m reaching but I highly doubt Higuain could take such a high quality photo.”
