YOU are probably sick of hearing and reading about New Year resolutions, but I would have failed in my role as Boob Chief (self-proclaimed title) if I did not encourage you all to make boob-checking part of your 2019.
I am not a fan of resolutions. I don’t like the pressure of having to achieve something because, well, I fear failure. Life is a big enough challenge without setting more for myself.
Make regularly checking your boobs your biggest resolution for 2019[/caption]
But setting intentions for doing things you know will be good for you is a positive thing, even if I haven’t stopped biting my nails after 32 years.
I never assume you have read my column before. So I will again tell you how easy it is to check your boobs and how we at Coppafeel! can help you remember.
A swift check in the shower or bath, regularly, should mean you know your boobs or pecs really well. That includes armpits and the collarbone, because they are in the breast area, too.
By regularly checking for changes such as the size of your boobs or nipples, skin texture, a rash, persistent pain or anything else that seems unusual, you know when to take action.
For monthly reminders to check
your boobs, text:
REMIND to 70500.
Your initial message will
cost your standard network rate
To help you do this regularly we can send you monthly text messages, free of charge, to remind you when to check.
I have seen a big surge in people telling us how CoppaFeel! prompted them to check and how they have subsequently been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Reading these messages is always so bittersweet, but knowing these people have a diagnosis and can thus get on with treatment means life can resume in the not-too-distant future.
It’s these messages that remind me how important it is for me and CoppaFeel! to keep banging this boob drum.

You might be bored of it, and I would be lying if I wasn’t bored of me too, but this stuff matters. It could save your life or the life of someone close to you.
If boob-checking is already firmly on your agenda this year, well done.
In case you need something else to focus on, may I suggest reducing single-use plastic, recycling – and watching the new Mary Poppins movie because it is AWESOME.

Hayden says: “I don’t have a model’s body, but I’m not one of those crazy girls who thinks that they’re fat. I’m OK with what I have.”
Nicollette says: “I don’t like diets – I see it, I eat it! I believe in eating healthily with lots of protein, vegetables and carbs to give you energy.”

Kim says: “I am no super-thin Hollywood actress. I am built for men who like women to look like women.”
