They were the quintessential 80s boyband who went their separate ways after three years at the top of the charts, amid in-fighting and debt.
And Christmas viewers went wild at the screening of Bros documentary After The Screaming Stops, with fans comparing the film to The Office and rolling in the aisles over its absurd and hilarious one-liners.
The film followed the brothers as they prepared for their emotional sell-out reunion gigs at London's O2 Arena, nearly 30 years after they last took to the stage together, while simultaneously trying to repair their bond after a decade of minimal contact.

But with one liners about not being able to play conkers, Matt saying Stevie Wonder had inspired him not to be 'superstitious and the brothers likening themselves to rectangles that made up a fortress, the show quickly became a fan favourite for very different reasons than the reunion.
The documentary promised 'a raw and emotional look into the aftermath of fame and the reconnection between two twins torn apart by their past' while showing no-holds barred clips of the pair rowing and crying over the bond they used to share.
However, fans couldn't help but compare the documentary to The Office and the hapless antics of salesman David Brent, especially when Matt showed off an custom designed oil painting of his beloved dog, and spoke about their favourite toy growing up.

Fans also took to social media to call it the real gem of the Christmas season's holiday television and gush over the greatest moments of the show.
One saw Matt gesturing at a portrait of his dog, saying: 'This is my best friend, Alfie, my bulldog – I had him painted, holding a pint of beer.'
While another classic clip showed Matt lamenting the loss of conkers as a school sport in the UK, saying: 'Please can we start a petition as Bros for this ridiculous thing where you can't even play conkers, you have to wear goggles. That is the biggest problem…You can't play conkers in England'.

Discussing their unique bond in Bros, Matt said: 'I was a rectangle and [Luke] was a rectangle and we made a square that became a fortress'.
Some fans even labelled the documentary the new 'Spinal Tap' after the infamous documentary spoofing heavy metal groups.

The band won universal acclaim with their comeback concerts in London, but scrapped dates in Newcastle, Glasgow, Nottingham, and Birmingham.
The twins had not played together since 77,000 packed into Wembley Stadium on August 19, 1989.

After they split up, Matt began his solo career in 1995 and since then has sold over 5 million albums, played a Las Vegas residency at Caesar's Palace and recently headlined Wembley Arena.
Meanwhile, Luke enjoyed an acting career in both film (Hellboy 2, Blade 2, The Man, Deathrace 2&3) and TV (Red Widow and Emmy award winning mini-series Frankenstein).

Matt previously revealed it was the death of his beloved mum Carol in 2014 which led to him and Luke eventually healing old wounds.
The singer told the Daily Mirror: 'It's fair to say we didn't get along and didn't speak for a long while.
'I have to admit it was all very hard and very personal. The handshake changed everything. Now Luke is my best friend – again.'
The film made its European debut at the London Film Festival on October 17 and released in selected cinemas on November 9.

Showing black and white photos of the twins at school, Luke lamented the bond they used to have before they became Bros.
He says: 'Growing up in school being twins, we were kinda like the Goss brothers, we were best mates. And in six months we were globally known, there was no learning curve.'
Both the twins are then seen crying as a voiceover says: 'Loneliness, isolation, it all comes with fame. Matt and Luke were not real.'
Recounting the moment that Bros' 15 minutes of fame were over, Luke says: 'This is official Matty, I'm leaving the band, Bros is done.

'It was probably the most painful professional moment of my life.'
Coming back to summer 2017, Matt was seen boarding a flight to the UK for the reunion gig, where he speaks of mending the brothers' fractured relationship.
He said: 'If me and my brother can get back to the energy we had when we were eight years old, that's it.'
'The reality of getting back together is seeing if we can put blood back into the veins of a very big pop band.'
Luke added: 'Family can be challenging but at the end of the day we are brothers.'
But it's not long before the When Will I Be Famous hitmakers struggle with the demands of rehearsals for one of the most hotly anticipated gigs of all time.
Matt says: 'I had an epiphany, I was like this is mentally difficult.'
Luke is seen storming out of the rehearsal room shouting: 'I can't do this!
'We are behind schedule, we have a massive workload we rub each other the wrong way. we are not the same people, and that's OK.'
The trailer ends with the group taking to the stage at the 02 and rocking the crowds with their greatest hits
