With Captain Marvel set to hit theatres in less than two months, we couldn’t be more excited to see Carol Danvers in action as she becomes a quintessential piece of the Marvel Universe.
Now, if you’re going to be cast to play a Marvel superhero there’s no doubt that you’re a badass, and if you’re not, you can certainly train until you are one. Just like Brie Larson did. For nine months prior to filming in fact, Larson endured grueling workouts to properly portray herself as a member of Starforce. Looks like all that sweat equity paid off too because as you’ll see she’s transformed into a lean mean fighting machine.
275 lbs, no big deal right?
When she hit her personal best, she got a nice little treat.
Larson even trains in custom Captain Marvel shoes. So sick.
Not only was she crushing it in the gym, she also went to fighter pilot training.
They even had simulated dog fight sessions.
I’d say she was successful in living up to the hype of Captain Marvel, now there’s only one thing left to do. Captain Marvel drops March 8th.
