New photo Black Mirror’s Bandersnatch has TEN different endings – here’s what they all mean

NETFLIX hit Bandersnatch has delighted – and frustrated – fans with the way the story can evolve in so many unexpected ways, with the show featuring no fewer than TEN main endings.

Here, we run down the outcomes that spring from viewers’ decisions, which range from the cheery (Frosties or Sugar Puffs?) to the relentlessly dark (Chop up dad or bury him in the garden?)

Netflix
Stefan, who is played by Fionn Whitehead, has his life in your hands[/caption]

With spoilers from the start, these are the ten biggest endings Stefan can experience as he beavers away programming the choose-your-own-adventure computer game Bandersnatch.

So if you don’t want to know what’s in store in Charlie Brooker’s Black Mirror movie, look away now. Otherwise, let’s kick off with the most dramatic one…

1. Jumping off the balcony

Netflix
Viewers can choose to force Stefan to tumble to his doom[/caption]

Stefan takes the mind-bending drug LSD at nerd king Colin’s trendy north London tower block and things get very weird indeed.

Colin demands that one of them jumps off the balcony and if you choose Stefan to take the leap, well, that’s one way to end the story early – and brutally.

Despite Colin’s insistence that Stefan will get another life, in the manner of arcade character Pac Man, that turns out just to be the rantings of a drug-fuelled loon. Shame.

2. Taking the pills

Netflix
If viewers choose to take the medication, everything ends well. Ish.[/caption]

Stefan’s at home with two red-and-yellow pills in his sticky palm having been prescribed a boost in medication by his therapist.

If you take them, this proves to be a fast-track to a reasonably happy ending where Bandersnatch gets released and all is well.

Well, that was easy.

3. Jumping out the window

Netflix
The modern world invades Stefan’s PC – with a handy plug for Netflix[/caption]

This isn’t the only time streaming giant Netflix gets mentioned by name in the show – but it’s certainly the weirdest.

A message appears on Stefan’s computer reading: “I am watching you in Netflix. I made decisions for you.”

But when he tells his psychiatrist he’s being filmed for the telly, she insists there would be a lot more action – with the pair then proving that statement wrong by launching into a huge fight scene.

But when she pulls out some nunchucks, Stefan leaps out of the window, only for a director to walk onto set, suggesting the whole thing was faked. Huh?

4. Dragged away

Netflix
Things all get a bit silly in the psychiatrist’s office[/caption]

However, if you don’t jump out of the window, Stefan fights back before his dad bursts in and the troubled lag is dragged away cackling.

5. Stefan gets jailed

Netflix
Stefan get busted for killing his dad then sawing him into bits[/caption]

Stefan is in the grip of madness if the viewers choose for him to receive a messages from a mysterious binary symbol over one from Netflix.

If you choose for him to kill his dad, he does just that and if you select for Stefan to then chop him up, Bandersnatch gets completed – but he winds up in jail.

We also get treated to the sight of Colin’s baby Pearl, now all grown up, trying to redesign the game for 21st-century gamers.

If at this point you turned to a loved one and asked: “What the hell is going on?” – don’t worry, you are not alone.

6. Bandersnatch binned

Netflix
Not every avenue in Bandersnatch ends with a brutal murder[/caption]

If, instead of getting Stefan to kill his dad, the kind people who opt to let him live get rewarded with a slightly confused ending.

Stefan drops out of making Bandersnatch and that’s that. Yep, that’s the reward you get for being nice.

7. Confronted on his doorstep

Netflix
Depending on your choices, you get visited by Colin or Mohan[/caption]

Choose to bury Stefan’s dad and the movie continues for quite some time yet – with either Colin’s girlfriend Kitty, Colin himself or his boss Mohan turning up at his door.

You can opt to kill them, but it makes no difference – Stefan gets arrested and TuckerSoft, the company set to release Bandersnatch, dramatically goes bust.

8. Train disaster

Netflix
You can head back in time to before the mum’s train tragedy[/caption]

In this scenario, Stefan rewinds time to try and save his mum from an untimely death in a train disaster caused by a derailment in the suburbs of London.

However, if you make the child version of Stefan go with her and catch the deadly train, he dies then too – and the same is true in the ‘present’.

9. Stefan is being controlled

Netflix
You can put that down, buddy, you’re the one being controlled[/caption]

Stefan discovers he is being watched as part of the shadowly PAC (Programme and Control) initiative, which his dad has been in on all along.

The resulting bust-up ends in the death of the poor dad – yes, Line Of Duty star Craig Parkinson has to play dead for quite a lot of the movie.

However, after burying Dad in the garden, next-door’s dog finds the body and Stefan is arrested. Bandersnatch is released, but that’s it for the film.

10. Tea

Netflix
You can short-cut the film by frazzling Stefan’s computer with tea[/caption]

Finally, the quickest way to end the game – by some measure – is by making Stefan pour a steaming cuppa over his computer.

The lad is furious to discovers a glitch in the software, his dad pestering him to come to a pub lunch doesn’t make things any better and the game is lost.

Bandersnatch never gets released – and it’s game over.
