The X Factor returns tonight at 8:35pm with its legendary Six Chair Challenge, which sees contestants battling for one of six coveted spaces on their judge’s team.
But with the risk of being brutally replaced any time, who will make it through to Judges Houses and who will be sent home? Here’s all you need to know about tonight’s dramatic episode.

First up are the Girls, and Simon Cowell proves to have one the toughest categories – with recruitment worker Georgia Burgess, 17-year-old Maria Laroco and hotel singer Bella Penfold impressing crowds with their upbeat, hip-hop performances.
However, the Syco owner immediately faces a dilemma, as he is also hit with a number of powerful ballads from Amsterdam native April, YouTube singer Jennifer Owens, Croydon-born Shan and soulful Molly Scott, who is just 16 years old.
Things are only thrown into further confusion by self-duetting contestant Sephy, who wows with another one-woman show, minutes before Scarlett Lee has Robbie Williams in tears with her performance.
Stopping one hopeful to hear her sing acapella, and making another fight for her seat with a second song, which of Simon’s girls will come out on top?

There’s no rest for the audience at the Wembley Arena, as Ayda Field attempts to whittle her Over 25s category down next.
Her group prove equally tricky – with Ola Yearwood, Anthony Monarch and Burgandy Williams getting the crowd going with dance floor favourites, and Cezar Ouatu and Jacqueline Faye dazzling with emotional showtunes.
Meanwhile Ricky Critcher and Louise Setara wow Simon and Louis Tomlinson with their soulful choices, before Ivo Dimchev and Burgandy Williams have all four smiling with their entertainment factor.
The task is only made harder for Ayda when a number of her choices anger husband Robbie, who turns his head to the booing audience and shakes his head in despair.
With tensions running high, the actress proceeds to break down at the judging panel – momentarily halting filming, and leaving her final six hanging in the balance.

Only adding to the drama, the 2018 challenge also has an added twist – The Golden X.
The new button in front of the panel gives the judges the power to send one act straight through to Judges Houses, with no risk of replacement.
But which lucky acts will score the lucky break, and which will have to fight to the finish?
The X Factor continues tonight at 8:35pm and finishes at 10.05pm. Sunday’s episode is 8-9pm.
