JEREMY Corbyn was branded a “socialist hypocrite” after handing his small team of aides inflation-busting pay rises of up to 26 per cent.
His chief spin doctor Seumas Milne, who was educated at one of the country’s most expensive private schools, is now the highest-earning member of his private office with his salary of £101,855.
Head of policy Andrew Fisher got the biggest rise – from £71,938 to £90,704, according to figures obtained by the Evening Standard.
This is despite him previously being a supporter of the Class War Party, which campaigns to bring down the rich.
The salaries are paid out of a taxpayer-funded pot of money that goes to opposition parties.
These latest figures were unveiled in an annual declaration it has to hand over to the House of Commons detailing how the so-called ‘Short Money’ is spent.
Mr Corbyn’s chief of staff Karie Murphy was given a 15 per cent wage hike – from £78,347 to £90,704.
Meanwhile David Prescott – son of the former deputy prime minister Lord Prescott – picks up an annual pay cheque of £66,895.
Tory MP Philip Davies blasted: “Corbyn’s so called equality drive is just a big con. He gives his Comrade cronies huge pay rises and has staff at the Labour Party conference paid the minimum wage. He is all talk and a typical Socialist hypocrite.”

A Labour MP told the Evening Standard: “What on earth will ordinary members outside the London bubble think about such a huge salary as £101,000 for a press adviser?”
“Public-sector union members who have seen their own salaries ground down will be quite amazed to see such increases.”
A Labour Party spokesman said: “We do not comment on staffing matters.”
