THE Chase fans were left in stitches as they tweeted floor-related puns when contestant Mosaic was caught by the Chaser.
Viewers couldn’t help but make hilarious references to her name after she failed to escape quiz master Anne Hegerty in tonight’s episode of the popular ITV show.

Mosaic was the second contestant of the evening to add to the prize money pot.
Of her unusual name, she explained: “Dad loves anything to do with Italy. Italian culture.”
The contestant was then asked a series of questions by host Bradley Walsh as she attempted to avoid Chaser Anne.
However, unfortunately she was caught, meaning she automatically had to leave the line-up.

As she shook Bradley’s hand goodbye, those watching at home couldn’t help but make light of the situation over on Twitter.
One wrote: “@anne_hegerty wiped the floor with Mosaic #thechase”
Another commented: “Mosaic must be in bits after being caught #TheChase”
A third shared: “And Mosaic falls to pieces as she’s out of #thechase”

Unfortunately, the third and fourth team mates Charlotte and Darren were also caught by the chaser, ruling them out of the final.
The first contestant Tony then attempted to beat Anne on his own to win £7,000.

However, she caught up with him in a nail-biting end to the show and he left empty handed.
It comes after The Chase fans were left convinced Bradley has a sneaky way of helping the Chaser catch up with teams during the final.

Viewers believe the host reads out questions “twice as fast” for the pro quizzers as the contestants in what they suggest is a way of secretly ensuring the popular ITV quiz show doesn’t have to shell out prize money.
Yesterday’s episode saw Bill, Laura, Emma and Gabriel all face Chaser Mark Labbett in the final.
The team mates had to quickly answers questions against the clock read out by host Bradley – and so did the quiz expert.
