DEAR DEIDRE: FOR half a lifetime I have been in love with my sister-in-law and now she is widowed, I long to tell her how I feel.

She is 60, I am 61. We had a brief but intense affair a year after she married my brother 30 years ago.

The guilt was too much for her and she put a stop to us, but I cannot get it out of my mind.

I fell for her the first time my brother brought her home. She was and still is beautiful.

I went on to marry too but my wife and I divorced ten years later.

I want to tell her she married the wrong brother and have come close to doing so.
