THIS is the horrifying moment a terrorist blew himself up during a horrific bomb and gun attack at a Nairobi hotel and business complex on Tuesday.
A British man and an American company boss were among 21 people killed after the 19-hour attack in the Kenyan capital.
Gunfire and explosions were heard shortly after 3pm local time as police entered the upmarket DusitD2 Hotel, and images showed black plumes of smoke over the area.
The coordinated assault began with an explosion that targeted three vehicles outside a bank and a suicide bombing that severely wounded a number of guests, officials said.
In harrowing CCTV released to local media, a fanatic can be seen walking towards what is believed to be the terrace of the hotel restaurant.
Two people are seen passing the man in the clip as he stands by the windows of the restaurant moments before he blows himself up.
As his remains are seen on the grass, several people run for their lives in the footage.
Al-Shabab, which is based in Somalia, later claimed responsibility for the horrific coordinated attack.
In chilling CCTV, armed men were seen walking into the exclusive compound, and aiming their weapons before launching the deadly assault.
The Kenyan Government said on Wednesday that security forces have killed all of the attackers who stormed the hotel, killing 21 people and forcing hundreds of people into terrifying escapes.

It’s thought the death toll could rise however as the Kenyan Red Cross said 50 people are still unaccounted for.
The British High Commissioner in Kenya confirmed a British man had died and he was later named as Luke Potter, a development worker with dual South African nationality.
A second British national was also injured.
American company boss Jason Spindler – who survived 9/11 – was killed, his brother confirmed.
The attack sparked a huge police siege, with Kenya’s national police chief, Joseph Boinnet saying special forces worked to “flush them out”.
Yesterday The Sun exclusively revealed how a British SAS hero bravely stormed into the hotel to wipe out attackers and save civilians.
Dramatic photos show the hero charging into a building single-handed with a Colt Canada C8 assault rifle to free cowering locals.
In another, the balaclava-clad elite soldier, whose face we have masked, helps to carry an injured victim. He was also seen clasping a woman’s hand as he led her to safety.
The man — a long-serving SAS member — checked plans with local special forces, directed sorties in the heat of battle and frisked suspects.
An insider told The Sun: “He was training Kenyan forces when the shout went up, so he went in.
“He fired off rounds during the operation. It’s a safe bet he hit his target — the SAS don’t miss. There’s no doubt his actions saved lives.”
Yesterday, survivors hailed his heroics in the 19-hour attack on the hotel and office complex. Lucy Njeri said: “He carried out one of the wounded, then went back and did that again. There was a lot of confusion, a lot of people running around, but he stood out. He was very brave.”
President Uhuru Kenyatta announced the end of a 20-hour overnight siege, saying: “The security operation… is over and all the terrorists eliminated.”
A police officer, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that some bodies were seen in restaurants downstairs and in offices upstairs.
In the aftermath of the attack, the area was left covered in blood and glass, while horrific images showed several vehicles burned, sending black smoke rising over the complex.
Terrified survivors ducked behind cars screaming, while others took cover behind fountains and other features at the lush complex.

Footage from inside the hotel showed Kenyan security officers searching the building and terrified workers emerging from hiding while gunfire could be heard.
Some climbed out a window by ladder. One man got up from the floor where he appeared to be trying to hide under a piece of wood panelling, then showed his ID.
Others rushed – or were carried – from the scene, and others cowered behind members of the security forces taking them to safety.
