THE Chase star Paul Sinha is engaged after proposing to his boyfriend.
Quizzer Paul – who previously revealed he was in an open relationship – shared his happy news on Twitter.
He told fans yesterday: “I proposed today. He said yes.
“Thus starts yet another diet.”
Fans were quick to send their well-wishes to the star of the ITV quiz show, who has kept his boyfriend’s name private.
One said: “Awwww lovely news to start the year! Congratulations to you both.”
Another joked: “Congratulations. Although even if he’d said no you could have explained why he was wrong and moved slightly closer to him to ask again just worded differently.”
Someone else said: “Congratulations, you finally found what you were looking for, you deserve it :).”
In July 2017, Paul opened up for the first time about his relationship status.
He told GuysLikeU: “I am happy with a boyfriend.
“We are in an open relationship, but can’t say more than that.
“One of the advantages of being gay is that there is no traditional template for how you are meant to engage with your partner.
“Hetero relationships are supposedly based on the idea of procreation and offering a loving environment for your children, therefore by definition would mean monogamy.

“Being gay we can make our own template that works for us.”
He has previously said The Chase producers have edited out references to his sexuality on the show.
Paul said: “I have been on the show for six years and I have made lots of references to being gay. But they mysteriously never made the edit.”
