New photo Cathay Pacific airline mistakenly sells £12,000 first class tickets for £535 in bizarre blunder

CATHAY Pacific has promised to honour discounted tickets it mistakenly sold for £535, instead of £12,000.

The airline offered Vietnam to New York fares at a fraction of the price in a costly error.

Other routes from Vietnam to America were also offered at incorrectly discounted rates.

Cathay Pacific admitted the blunder and said the the tickets would still be accepted.

It tweeted: “Happy 2019 all, and to those who bought our good – VERY good surprise ‘special’ on New Year’s Day.

“Yes – we made a mistake but we look forward to welcoming you on board with your ticket issued.

The company did not reveal how many people had grabbed the stunning offer.

Cathay Pacific have form when it comes to glaring errors.
