OZZY Osbourne claims he nearly died after having a manicure.
The Black Sabbath front man has had a life of drink and drugs but ironically, it was a trip to the beautician which almost killed him.
The Daily Star reports Ozzy saying back in October: “I’m having the best time of my life – apart from that f***ing thing with my thumb, and I didn’t realise that it was very dangerous.
“I was in hospital for a couple of days and had emergency surgery, and I remember waking up in the morning and Sharon said: ‘What the f*** have you done to your hand?’
“The funny thing is they reckon I got it from a manicure! It won’t stop me from heading to the UK in February.”
Ozzy, who is touring the UK next year with his No More Tours 2 Tour, revealed it was his right hand thumb that swelled “the size from page 1 of a f***ing lightbulb” while performing in the US.
Doctors told the rocker the infection had got into his bloodstream and he could have died.
While Ozzy lived to tell the tale, he struggled to do anything post surgery.
He said: “I’m right-handed. You can’t wipe your own a**.
“And I didn’t have many f***ing volunteers who would do it for me.”

Soon after his surgery, Ozzy was pictured eating an ice cream in his hospital bed.
Ozzy posted the picture from his Los Angeles hospital bed, showing his heavily bandaged right hand.
He tweeted: “Feeling better after surgery. Ice cream helps.”
