A SHOCKED Theresa May was berated by a bad tempered Donald Trump after she rang to congratulate him on his Midterm election results, it emerged last night.

The moody US President snapped at her for opposing his Iran sanctions, grilled her over Brexit and moaned about so-called unfair trade deals following outrage over his cancelled his WW1 memorial visit.

It came as he flew on Air Force One to France to mark the 100th anniversary of the First World War.

A scheduled visit to a US military cemetery near Paris was cancelled because it was raining.

The Washington Post said: “May has endured Trump’s churlish temper before, but still her aides were shaken by his especially foul mood, according to US and European officials briefed on the conversation.”

But the PM’s official spokesman last night insisted aides at No10 were “unshakeable” and the disagreements between the US and the UK over Iran were well known.
