A tiny robot hit the streets of Milton Keynes as supermarket giant Co-op trialled an automated home delivery service.
The self-driving robot, created by Starship Technologies, was pictured navigating the town's numerous roundabouts as it delivered groceries on Friday.
The pods were created by two of Skype's founders to carry out a number of logistical tasks - and have the ability to travel up to two miles.

Milton Keynes is set to become one of the first areas to experience automated delivery on a large scale.
It was confirmed earlier this year that the firm had partnered with the Co-op to deliver groceries in the town.
The service is available through a mobile phone app, where residents can choose to have packages delivered to an address of their choice.

It was confirmed earlier this year that the firm had partnered with the Co-op to deliver groceries in the town, with trials taking place in May
Customers will pay a monthly subscription fee of £7.99 for an unlimited number of deliveries.
The supermarket ran a series of practice deliveries throughout a four-week period in May.
A store near Starship's headquarters in Monkston used the six-wheeled 'ground drones' to deliver around 200 different products.

Customers paid the usual in-store price plus £1 for the delivery which went directly to Starship.
A Co-op member of staff - known as a 'picker' - selected the items and put them in a cooler box compartment inside the robot.
The machine drives using GPS and customers are sent a unique code to their smartphones so they can access their shopping.
Starship's bot is purely functional with a large compartment to hold deliveries, the equivalent size of two grocery bags.
Starship Technologies has also worked with JustEat and has made 'thousands of deliveries' to customers in London.
The slow-moving bots have also been trialled across the world, including in Hamburg, Washington and California, delivering everything from groceries to takeaway pizza.
The commercial roll-out is an extension of a pilot scheme which began on a 4.3 acre campus in Mountain View in February.
Each vehicle is 55cm (22 inches) high by 70cm (28 inches) long.

It has a secured compartment where parcels with a maximum weight of 10kg (22 pounds) can be transported, accessible to consumers via a link generated by a smartphone app.
They have six wheels and can travel at speeds up to 4mph (6.4kmh) per hour.
If a thief attempts to tamper with the robot, or snatch it, the operator can take over - talking directly to the wrongdoer and sending police to the drone's location.
The drone's nine cameras can also capture the criminal's face.

The company said in May it hopes to launch 1,000 bots to corporate and academic campuses in Europe and the US within the year
In any case, the bot's 'cargo trunk' is sealed throughout the trip - only the customer can open it using a specific app upon the drone's arrival.
The app also allows shoppers to track the robot's location in real time.
One of Starship's main selling points is the battery-powered bot's zero direct CO2 emission, as opposed to the pollution brought about but too many, short shopping car trips.
