What is the Uefa Nations League?
The Uefa Nations League is a new football competition introduced to make international friendly matches more competitive.
The tournament will see 55 nations competing across four mini-leagues, with Euro 2020 play-off spots up for grabs for those unable to qualify for Euro 2020 through the qualification campaign.
Nations are sorted into the leagues based on their UEFA coefficient ranking, meaning teams play countries who are similar in ability, adding a competitive edge to international friendly matches.
